Revolutionizing Scientific Instruments: Sindin by Zishen Design

Introducing Sindin: The Drop Shape Analyzer with a Twist

Unveiling Sindin, a groundbreaking scientific instrument designed by Zishen Design. Inspired by the need for more operational and experiential scientific tools, Sindin stands out with its unique properties and advanced technology. This award-winning design offers a fresh perspective on nano material science and engineering, a field that has become a global research hotspot.

The Sindin is not your average drop shape analyzer. It measures the contact angle of various liquids to solid materials, namely, the wettability of liquid to solid, and can also measure the contact angle of liquid in the external phase. This concept is often involved in the study of surface modification of nanomaterials. Compared to similar items, Sindin's structure is more reasonable and easier to operate, meeting the high requirements of scientific research work.

Constructed from high-grade aviation aluminum, Sindin is equipped with an industrial special CCD digital camera, a high-resolution zoom microscope, and a high brightness LED background light source system. These features, combined with a three-dimensional sample table, enable automatic micro injection and precise movement in all directions. The instrument connects to a computer via a USB2.0 standard interface. The measuring instrument software automatically captures image data, analyzes images, and exports technical data.

Sindin's technical specifications are impressive. The host's overall dimension is 550 (length) * 360 (width) * 450 (height), and the contact angle measurement range is 0-180°. The instrument can accommodate a maximum sample table size of 10 inches and a sample size of 200mm (width) 120mm (length). The optical system features a 0.7-4.5x continuous zoom lens, and the adjustable lens angle allows for bottom view, head view, top view, and multi-angle observation.

The Sindin is operated by connecting the power supply to the back of the instrument and the data cable at the computer end to the port of the video optical system. Once the special software is opened, the computer controls the precise drip. With a simple press of the "2" key on the keyboard, the software automatically captures the image data, analyzes the image, and displays the result data. The entire process is completed automatically.

The design project was launched in Shenzhen, China in February 2021 and completed in Dongguan, China in February 2022. It is currently still in the verification stage. The Sindin is a precision instrument that studies the surface tension of various solids and liquids. It has a variety of different surface energy calculation methods, such as Zisman, work, forks, EOS, etc. The software automatically captures image data and analyzes images to calculate the surface tension and the actual width of droplets, analyze the characteristics of materials, and apply them to products with different requirements.

The Sindin faced several design challenges. It needed to be applied in different material fields and required different sizes and specifications. Therefore, the base part of the instrument was changed to the form of removable replacement in the research and development process. In addition, in order to wrap the exposed structure well and partition each functional part well, many attempts were made in man-machine experience. The final result is a standard droplet shape analyzer that is mainly composed of five parts: light source, injection unit, sample table, acquisition system, and analysis software. The whole machine adopts square contour and arc turning, and adopts aluminum alloy black and silver to strengthen the recognition of scientific instruments. Proprietary software automatically batch fitting, avoiding human operation error and automatically generating data report.

The Sindin was awarded Silver in A' Scientific Instruments and Research Equipment Design Award in 2022. This prestigious award is rewarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
